Srcs Visitors Book

•  Anyone flying at the SRCS Flying Field who is not a current financial member of SRCS shall be signed into the Visitors Book before flying on every day that they visit

•  They shall be signed in by a current SRCS financial member (other than a Social Member)

•  The SRCS member signing them in shall ensure that all details in the visitors book are correct and shall explain the field operating rules, including those for frequency control

•  The number of times an MAAA Affiliated Member can fly as a visitor is at the discretion of the Committee.

•  The current FAI card of an MAAA Affiliated Member shall be sighted on every occasion by the member signing them in

•  For insurance reasons persons who were MAAA Affiliated Members in the previous financial year and who are not current cannot be signed in as visitors

•  For insurance reasons persons who are not current MAAA Affiliated Members shall only be signed in for a limited number of visits, no matter how many times they fly on the day. They shall be under the direct supervision of a competent financial club member whenever they fly, no matter what their competence

•  A person flying an aircraft without a buddy lead shall only be signed in for a maximum of two visits. Two addition visits are allowed for the purpose of sampling model aviation provided that a buddy chord is used and an approved club flying instructor undertakes the primary control of the model.

•  If a person is signed in as a visitor and does not fly then the entry shall be so annotated, crossed out neatly, and signed by an SRCS member

•  Unknown visitors shall be accompanied on the first visit to the flight line irrespective of stated competencies

•  Any visitor not flying to Bronze Wings standard shall be accompanied at all times on the flight line by an SRCS Flying Instructor or other competent SRCS Member

The SRCS Member signing in a visitor shall be responsible for ensuring that the visitor complies with all SRCS procedures. In the event that they leave before the visitor then the responsibility shall be handed over to another specific SRCS member

Heli Instructor
SRCS now has a fully qualified Helicopter Instructor in Mike Close. Mike passed the course with flying colours (pun intended) on the 19th August 2007. Please make use of Mike to further your heli skills and knowledge. Congratulations Mike on this achievement.

Safety
SRCS now requires all aircraft to be restrained during the starting /tuning phase. Please talk to a Committee Member for full details.

Noise Testing
SRCS is a responsible Community Club and as such any pilot wishing to fly between the hours of 8am and 9am must have the aircraft noise tested and certified prior to any flight. Mike Close (98726469) and Paul Toyne (96427059) are the approved testers so please make an appointment for noise testing.
