Please note that there is no general flying on any of these event days. Club events may be postponed for two weeks after these advertised dates in the case of poor weather.

  1. You can get to SRCS by driving along Windsor Road until you get to Bandon Road at Vineyard.
  2. There is a Public School on the corner.
  3. Turn into Bandon Road towards the school and proceed until you see Vineyard Railway Station on your right.
  4. Turn right at this intersection (you are still on Bandon Road) and cross the railway line.
  5. Continue all the way down Bandon Road (it will become a gravel road) until you can go no further.
  6. There will be a gate in front of you and one on your left.
  7. The gate on your left is our entrance gate.
  8. The flying field is around 1km from this point.
  9. You can either wait until a member comes along to let you in or you can climb the gate and follow the road down to the field by foot.
  10. A member will then come back with you to let your vehicle in.

Heli Instructor
SRCS now has a fully qualified Helicopter Instructor in Mike Close. Mike passed the course with flying colours (pun intended) on the 19th August 2007. Please make use of Mike to further your heli skills and knowledge. Congratulations Mike on this achievement.

Safety
SRCS now requires all aircraft to be restrained during the starting /tuning phase. Please talk to a Committee Member for full details.

Noise Testing
SRCS is a responsible Community Club and as such any pilot wishing to fly between the hours of 8am and 9am must have the aircraft noise tested and certified prior to any flight. Mike Close (98726469) and Paul Toyne (96427059) are the approved testers so please make an appointment for noise testing.
